Chunks of richly flavoured diced lamb, perfect for slow cooking and ideal for curries and hotpots.
Cooking Instructions:
Oven (using a casserole dish with well-fitting lid) 2-4 hours
Slow cooker on ‘High’ 4-6 hours
Slow cooker on ‘Low’ 8-12 hours
Butcher’s tip – sauté any onions, Celery or root veg that is in the recipe before adding to the casserole pot or slow cooker, this ensures a greater depth of flavour and tastier result!
The liquid you use should only just cover the meat and veg and should ideally come to half to two-thirds of the pot. Stir a teaspoon or two of mint sauce or redcurrant jelly through the meat juices and turn into a wonderful flavoursome gravy.
